Dennis is an ISA (International Society of Aboriculture) Certified Arborist and Certified tree Risk Assessor.  He is also a WSU Master Gardener.

He provides services and consultations to private residents, businesses and public entities.  Services include hazard tree assessments, tree appraisals, expert witness services, small tree pruning and pest diagnosis.

He specializes in the pruning of Japanese maples.

Dennis has written numerous articles and columns on various tree issues.  Sample articles can be viewed on his website, www.evergreen-arborist.com.  He currently publishes a monthly column for the "Green" section of the Courier-Herald newspapers.

He plans to submit articles and columns on tree issues to Patch for reader's enjoyment.

He has been involved in the Christmas tree industry for nearly 40 years as a consultant, tree grower and has authored over 200 articles, features, and editorials on the industry.

Dennis lives near the Puyallup River between Orting and Sumner and enjoys his views of the neighboring raspberry and rhubard fields.  His residence overlooks open space and a large wetland that offer glimpses of deer, coyots and an occasional elk.
