If Vaughn can be as funny in all his movies as he was in 'Wedding Crashers'; he'll keep hisRead More audiences howling 'till the cows come home.

Hi, Sara Smith here. I'm the tutor that started the 500 Club. Just to clarify, I also agree thatRead More memorizing random long lists of word is close to a waste of time. We encourage our students to really understand what they are studying, so the words that our students learn are words that they find in their studies and look up on their own. The students are even more admirable for taking the extra time and effort.

Congrats. That's a great opportunity in NYC and will leave some big shoes to fill here. Descanso isRead More quite the hidden gem in LA.

Thank you for allowing a promo for the LCHS Theatre department. They always do a great job with theRead More performances and don't get the advertising they deserve. If your children aren/t/weren't involved with the drama department you are in for a treat. It is more than worth that $10 to see a performance without leaving the comfort of La Canada and the drama department deserves your support.

I have an idea. Along with his bronze in the park, let's get him nominated into the California HallRead More of Fame! There is no one as "Californian" as Huell was Californian. He truly needs to be inducted.

I was and still saddened by the death of huell howser. Absolutely no one can replace him! He wasRead More still young...and I loved his sense of charisma. What a great man. I planned my entire day to watch his shows. Thanks for everything Huell..."that's amazing"
Don McCullough January 18, 2013 at 09:17 pm
I was shocked and saddened to hear of his death. He was surely one of the nicest people that everRead More lived. You can see some of his videos and read about him at both his website and the Chapman University site. Thanks Huell.

@ keslie I have been unshamed by a master grammar yenta. Almost didn't hurt at all. Take care.
Leslie Aitken January 17, 2013 at 01:29 pm
Dan -- your attempts at jocularity were successful. My first comment was meant to be somewhatRead More tongue-in-cheek. And in my second comment I even mock my self -- bottom line, my intent was to be a bit of a grammar yenta! My intention wasn't to "guffaw", "har har" or "shame" anyone -- just give a bit of a nudge. :)
Andrea Rose January 15, 2013 at 08:05 pm
I'm no defender of poor grammar in any way, but I never see the point of people who like to guffawRead More at the occasional mistakes of those who've written about fires, shootings, windstorms, burned bodies, elections or any number of other things. I agree with Leslie that chat and texting have made for a much cruder verbal identity among our youth to the point where they won't be able to get a job interview or assemble a decent, legible resume. But publicly saying "har, har, let me flex my grammar muscle and shame others" just seems like a poor, bitter and unpleasant way to get your message across and carries the same negative energy as something like "LOL, look @ u, u r a looser!" You have a problem with what a writer did? E-mail him or her. Don't abuse your power of commenting just to put a spotlight on the fact that you found a few mistakes. I'm not looking for a fight, Leslie, but there are better ways to make a point, right?

Does the court do any kind of charity work? Since they have a high profile in the community for theRead More year (or several months at least), it would be nice if they would target a specific charity that different organizations and citizens could contribute to or that awareness could be raised about. Do they have a collective Facebook page or some other type of social media that they could utilize to promote any kind of charity work?
