Top-seeded Wildcats advance to Southern Section Division 6 semifinals.

The Renaissance Academy boys basketball team is in the semifinals of the CIF Southern Section Division 6 playoffs after pair of dominating wins.

The Wildcats beat Arshag Dickranian, 89-43, in the quarterfinals of the playoffs on Tuesday, the third game in a row the Renaissance Academy scored more than 80 points. The top-seeded Wildcats (22-6) play L.A. Adventist on Saturday night.

“They have athletes,” Renaissance Academy coach Sid Cooke said about L.A. Adventist. “It’s going to be a much tougher game. Look at their roster and they have some size.”
