The La Cañada Water Polo Club has swept the 18U CA State Games with a repeat championship.
Coach Christian Flores, also the newly-appointed LCHS head water polo coach, has led the La Cañada Water Polo Club through the tournament, winning every game to clinch the gold. This was the 25th anniversary of the CA State Games which are held in San Diego.
Teams throughout the state, which compete in more than a dozen sports, participate in this annual event. Last year, La Cañada Water Polo Club brought home the championship banner in the same category.
Players include freshmen through seniors: Sean Brenot '17, Reed Buck '15, Solomon Chang '16, Charlie DePew '15, David Garner '16, Grant Haxton '16, Justin Ho '16, Jeff Lee '14, Peter Loakes '14, Leo Neat '15, Felix Park '16, Connor Shankwiler '14, Ben White '14.
