Olympic luger Kate Hansen of La Canada Flintridge threw a ceremonial first pitch at Monday night's Los Angeles Dodgers-Philadelphia Phillies game at Dodger Stadium and declared, "It's time for Dodger baseball."

For extra fun watch Hansen dance to Beyonce, dancing on The Queen Latifah Show and twerking on the White House front lawn.

An honorary first pitch was thrown by Meredith, Chris and Cam Jobe, three of the four sons of the late pioneering orthopedic surgeon Frank Jobe, who died March 6 at the age of 88. The Dodgers announced today that their training room would be named for Jobe.

Army Spc. Cheyne Gomez of Hacienda Heights was honored as the Veteran of the Game.

Gomez enlisted in 2008 to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather. He is assigned to the 1908th Combat Stress Control Detachment, a reserve unit attached to the 807th Medical Command, and was deployed to Iraq in 2009. His awards include the Iraq Campaign Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.
