Pumpkin Patch: Families Flock to LCE Fundraiser (Photos)

Friday's pumpkin patch at La Cañada Elementary included snack booths, grab bags and costumes.

Last Friday, the students at ran after the dismissal bell to the recess yard and outdoor science center to enjoy a festive pumpkin patch.

There was a snack booth filled with spooky cupcakes, sticky apples and spider web rice crispy treats. Families had the opportunity to win two iPod shuffles in surprise grab bags. The outdoor science center had a unique selection of Cinderella pumpkins, ghost white pumpkins and baby bear pumpkins for sale from $1 to $20. Gently used costumes, donated by families at the school, were for sale at discounted prices. This annual fundraiser helps the school raise money for needed supplies, equipment and improvements.
