Medical Doctor Volunteers Needed for Spartan Home Games

La Cañada High School is looking for a few good doctors to share time on the sidelines at varsity home games.

Are you a medical doctor with an affinity for your hometown Spartans?

, which is required to have a medical doctor at all home varsity football games from 6:15 p.m. until the end of game, is looking for some volunteers, according to an announcement from the LCHS Parent Teacher Student Assocation.

PTSA President Susan Dodge suggested that while it is helpful to have the same doctor at each game, a couple of doctors could share the load. The volunteer doctor should not be on-call for their practice that evening, she wrote.

Home games are Aug. 30, Sept. 7, Sept. 21, Oct. 5 and Oct. 19. Potential playoff games would be held Nov. 9 and Nov. 16. Dodge noted that the athletic department would also like to have a medical doctor at the Spartans' away games, but it is not a requirement.

Please contact Ms. Kalb at kkalb@lcusd.net if you're interested in volunteering.
