JPL Invention Challenge: Kicking the Competition (Video)
Student inventors competed alongside engineers from Jet Propulsion Laboratory in the recent event.
The challenge: The team's robot must kick a football over a barrier and into a trash can.
The student winners: Culver City High - with a rim shot.
In the 2011 Invention Challenge, the Culver City team offered this piece of advice to all budding inventors: "Simple is better.''
