La Cañada's varsity football coach Dan Yoder told the La Cañada Valley Sun, "It's the last game of the year, potentially our last if we don't see the playoffs," he said. "If you cant get up for that, maybe you shouldn't be playing high school football."

The Spartans are comng off two weeks worth of wins, after a miserable start of 1-6. Last Friday La Cañada blew away Blair at home with a score of 28-0. On Oct. 28, the Spartans beat Temple City at home, 44-27. The wins upgraded the Spartans to a 3-6 record for the season, according to MaxPreps.com.
