We will be showing the extremely rare Venus Transit today at the south parking lot at La Canada High School from 3 PM until sunset. I will have a total of 5 solar scopes pointed safely at the Sun with my students running them. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see an astronomical phenomenon that won't happen again until the year 2117.
