La Canada Congregational Church to celebrate Earth Day April 22
La Canada Congregational Church will celebrate Earth Day Sunday (April 22) with a special program presented by The Association Promoting Education and Conservation in Amazonia (APECA.)
The program will begin at 11 AM, immediately following the church’s Sunday service at 10 AM.
APECA works to stabilize communities in the Amazon region basin of Peru, especially in the areas of conservation and health.

The organization’s founder, Gina Low, and her associate director, Pablo Guerra, both visiting from Peru, will show a video and give a presentation about the organization’s newest project, “Youth Foresters,” to be launched in 2013.
The public is invited to the free program. Sandwiches, cupcakes coffee and tea will be served.
