Should 'Views' in LCF Be Protected by Law?

The city's Planning Commission reportedly decides not to move forward with the development of a view preservation measure.

La Cañada Flintridge's Planning Commission decided Tuesday not to move forward with the development of a view preservation measure, which would protect hillside properties that offer views of the mountains from obstructions, according to the La Cañada Sun.

“I think it's a slippery slope,” said Commissioner Rick Gunter, according to the Sun. “There's a point in which you can't regulate everything.”

A local resident presented the issue before the commission in August when he said that his view was being blocked by a neighbor's tall trees and vegetation, according to the Sun.
