Nominate LCF Champions of Open Government

Organizers of next month's Sunshine Week 2012, which celebrates government transparency, are looking for local heroes who have fought for open government in their home town. Know anyone?

Do you know people in La Cañada who have championed local government transparency?

LCF Patch is participating in Sunshine Week 2012, which begins on March 11, by promoting the Sunshine Week organization’s national 'Local Heroes' contest.  The contest honors people across the country who have worked hard to make sure that government stays transparent.

Who comes to mind in La Cañada when you think "governmental transparency"? Who has championed that public information be easily viewable by the public?

If you know people who have risen to this challenge, please take this chance to nominate them for the contest.

The deadline for nominations is Monday Feb. 20 so if you know somebody, now is the chance to do it. The winner will be honored in Washington D.C.
