LCUSD Bids Farewell to Administrators

In a statement released Wednesday afternoon, Superintendent Wendy Sinnette said La Cañada Unified School District is grateful to both administrators for their dedicated years of service.

released the following statement about the departure of Principal Jackie Luzak and Assistant Principal Aaron Dover, who are leaving to pursue their careers out of the area:

La Canada Unified School District Superintendent, Ms. Wendy Sinnette, and Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, Ms. Patricia Hager, announced today that La Canada High School Principal, Dr. Jackie Luzak, and Assistant Principal, Mr. Aaron Dover, will both be departing from the District at the close of the 2011-2012 school year.

Dr. Luzak has accepted a position with Cajon Valley Union School District as a principal of Montgomery Middle School and Mr. Dover will be joining Upland Unified School District as principal of Pioneer Junior High School.

The District is grateful to both administrators for their dedicated years of service and wishes them good fortune and happiness in their new positions. Dr. Luzak joined the District in 2008 as the principal of La Canada High School 7/8 and, after two years of service, became the La Canada High School principal in 2010.  Mr. Dover joined the District’s administrative team in 2010 as one of the two high school assistant principals.

The La Canada Unified School District’s Human Resources office is engaged in an aggressive search to secure two talented educators to fill these administrative positions. The new hires will join the site’s proven administrative team consisting of Mrs. Anais Wenn, LCHS 7/8 Principal, and Dr. Jarrett Gold, LCHS Assistant Principal. The District will cast a wide-net and engage in a rigorous applicant screening and interview process to surface the optimal candidates.

The administrative team’s charge will be to further District initiatives, which center on supporting student success and achievement, increasing teacher and staff support, and actively responding to the interests and needs of all District stakeholders.
