Launch of Moon Probes Bumped Another Day

The new launch date for the rocket carrying lunar orbiters is scheduled for Saturday.

NASA has delayed the launch of a Delta II rocket carrying NASA's Gravity Recovery and Interior Laboratory for one more day.

First scheduled to launch Thursday then tentatively bumped to today, has announced the engineers need another day to review propulsion system data from the rocket after it was drained of fuel, following the scuttled launch.

The lunar orbiters attached to the rocket will study how the moon was formed, mapping its gravity field.
