Election: Spence, Curtis Win City Council Seats

A new face will join La Cañada Flintridge City Council, alongside incumbent veteran Dave Spence, unofficial election results showed.

La Cañada Flintridge Planning Commissioner Jon Curtis is going to need new business cards.

The city's planning commissioner will join City Council veteran and incumbent Dave Spence at the council table, according to Tuesday night's unofficial results of the General Municipal Election.

Curtis and Spence beat out challenger Joe Layton, a 24-year-old accountant who grew up in La Cañada.

With all six precincts reporting, Curtis garnered the most votes at 2,007, Spence was next with 1,933 and Layton earned 974. Less than 20 percent of registered voters cast a ballot for Tuesday's election. See how all precincts voted here
