Workers to clear out sediment in Mullally Debris Basin
Trucks will begin work Monday extracting debris for one week, depending on weather.
Dump trucks will climb the foothills once again to remove debris sediment on Monday.
The cleanout at Mullally Debris Basin in La Canada Flintridge is led by the Los Angeles County Public Works Department and will take about one week to remove, according to a release from the Department of Public Works.
Trucks will travel along Ocean View Boulevard to the 210 West Freeway; along Pennsylvania Avenue and from Foothill Boulevard to Boston Avenue; and along Markridge Road.

Weather conditions pending, sediment will be delivered to Dunsmuir Sediment Placement Site in Glendale.
The Department of Public Works asks residents to be patient as the trucks make their routes, said Gary Boze, Public Information Officer at Los Angeles County Department of Public Works.

Clearing the basin helps prepare for future storms and prevents the built-up debris from destroying property, Boze said.
"What people have to be aware of around the truck route is that these trucks are coming through and they will be loud," he said.
