My heart broke when I heard that a dear child who should have been at that stage in life of eager anticipation of what's next to do chose to end his life. Love and prayers to his memory and to his family.

I am related to this beautiful family and we are confounded and shocked - the child who died was an amazing person, fun, loving, witty, well liked, and we cannot come up with a single thing that would cause this tragedy!!!! His mom and brothers and sister are just as awesome - the last time we all got together we walked down the boulevard joyfully with no worries!!!! Was this an impulsive act, or, did he accidentally fall? I say it was an accident - how did he get up there - why? I can't stop crying for the family crying themselves to sleep every night now.... please pray for the whole community!

I just can't conceive of this kind of loss. Obviously i hope the family finds strength within each other at this unimaginable time. I have to say, it was touching to read your comments, Mary and POMH. So many times in threads people point fingers and make wild accusations and that's just redix.

I believe that death is one of the greatest "foolers" of all time. Hear me out. I live in an area of the country where Winter turns what once was a verdant, green, flowery, landscape into the most hopeless picture of death one can imagine. The once flowering fields and green trees are now brittle, brown, lifeless. The cold wind and rain adds a final touch to the hopeless feeling that all is dead. It sure looks that way. But, come Spring, the warmth of the sun, the showers of rain..and it is back just the way it was. Death has the appearance of finality. It is God's way of trying to teach us something. The "body" was not the person, it was just where he lived. It was his house. Sometimes, we do move, you know. A big van pulls up and then, that family you loved as neighbors moved on. They are quite fine while you are not. There is no meaning to life that cannot be annulled by death if you believe the here and now is all there is. You have your ideas; God has His. Re the body, He says, "It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power, it is sown in corruption, it is raised in glory. The empty house is waiting for a new touch. It seems so final; it isn't. The house was not the person, it is just where he lived. "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the SHADOW of death, I shall fear no evil, for thou art with me." Psalm 23. Did you catch that.?...the shadow of a dog never bit anybody. Cast your care upon Him, for He careth for you,
