Rider Injured in Solo Crash

Man airlifted from the crash on ACH, sustained moderate injuries.

A motorcyclist sustained ankle and shoulder injuries in a solo crash on Angeles Crest Highway Saturday afternoon.

The crash was reported near mile marker 52 a little after 12 p.m., according to California Highway Patrol traffic logs. The injured rider sustained injuries to his left ankle and right shoulder, said Tatiana Sauquillo of the CHP.

A Sheriff's helicopter air lifted the patient before fire fighters could reach the scene, an official with the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.

Authorities are still trying to determine the cause of the crash, Sauquillo said.
