Police: 3 Arrested After Deputies Find Meth
Crescenta Valley Sheriff's deputies reported the following arrests this week. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
Crescenta Valley Sheriff's deputies arrested a La Cañada man and two others on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance after allegedly finding methamphetamine in their car, according to a crime report.
Authorities spotted a vehicle speeding down Palm Drive on Monday, in an area near the school where students were walking down the street, the report states. Deputies smelled marijuana wafting out of the vehicle, so they pulled over the 1999 Chevy pickup a bit farther down the road, in the 1800 block of Foothill Boulevard.
Inside the vehicle's ashtray, deputies allegedly found a small baggie of a white crystal substance that they believed to be methamphetamine, a controlled substance. Also found in the car were four marijuana pipes and two empty, green cylindrical containers commonly used for holding marijuana.
All three suspects denied that the supposed meth belonged to them, so they were all arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance. Suspects arrested include 20-year-old La Cañada resident David Michael Freeman, 20-year-old Daniel Wrae Physioc of Glendale and Jasmin Virginia Cobian, also 20, of San Pedro.
