It's demoralizing how much people HATE each other across the political aisle :( It's the one horrible thing about the Internet, browsing the reader comments on blogs or political articles that are just filled with hate.

Our Omaba lawn sign is still standing, but I did have a bizarre encounter in our LCF neighborhood. About a week ago, I was sitting at the stop light at Oceanview and Foothill, a man in a large white SUV behind me was pointing at me, making crazy faces and looking angry. I had no idea why he was getting enraged. I turned to get a better look and he pointed to my Obama bumper sticker and went ballistic again, making faces and signs that I was crazy. I've never encountered such a thing, a random driver getting unhinged over an election bumper sticker during an election! These last four years we have suffered through a powerful disinformation campaign to demonize our President and terrorize our populace with lies. It has been funded by billionaire oil barrons and other mega-wealthy ideologues who have not only upended our democratic process, they have also spread irrational fear among the People. For the past four years, the Koch Bros/GOP/tea party alliance has reminded me of the Milosevic propaganda campaign, bringing 500 year old bones on display, busing in workers, intentionally whipping up fear and anxiety strong enough to shred the cohesive glue of civil tolerance which keeps any Union strong. Today's election results won't stop them either. We are going too have to stay engaged in our own civic lessons, for our kids and for our future. Onwards....and Forward! "Hold On" Obama! http://youtu.be/gktyOnzNVuA

The stupid part about this is, do these people really think just because our campaign sign is gone, we are going to forget who we are voting for?

It warms my heart to even know that there are people in LC-F who would dare to plant Obama signs on their lawn. Growing up in LC in the fifty and sixties, one would not dare to admit to being a democrat. It reminds me of my own subversive self back in 1964, when at the age of 10 I would walk home from school and peel the "G" off of Goldwater bumper stickers, changing it to "Oldwater". It was a John Birch Society community back then, and I remember coming home and crying to my parents, WHY AM I THE ONLY DEMOCRAT AT ST BEDE'S? LOL Thanks for the memories. It may take a few generations, but over time, the truth will prevail...or it won't.

Yes, and sadly, so am I...

Awwww, I didn't mean it like that! I just look at the St Bede architecture and it really doesn't look dated to me...

Is this new or are you just reporting it again? I read it once and it did happen on the 21st of October.
