Meatball Bear Released in Angeles National Forest (Photos)

The California Department of Fish & Game released the black bear to Angeles National Forest after tranquilizing it with several darts in Montrose-La Crescenta Tuesday.

A California black bear best-known for its meatball-eating ways is now living in Angeles National Forest after appearing in Montrose early Tuesday. The 400-pound male bear apeaars to be about 3 years old, according to the California Department of Fish and Game.
