UPDATED: Man Killed in Crash on Angeles Crest Highway

Aaron Martinez, an 18-year-old Bellflower resident, is the fourth fatality on the winding road since its June reopening.

Update: The young man killed has been identified as 18-year-old Aaron Martinez of Bellflower, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner's office.

Angeles Crest Highway now has four deadly traffic incidents since its after the responded to a Saturday afternoon single-car crash that has left at least one man dead.

Officer Anthony Martin of the CHP said that the crash, called in at 2:04 p.m., occurred at the 39.61 mile marker of Angeles Crest Highway, where CHP and the Los Angeles County Fire Department found an overturned vehicle with a man trapped inside.

Martin said authorities were able to extract the male, but it was later determined he had died from his injuries.

The victim has not been identified, and the cause of the crash has not been determined.
