Los Angles Police Department will conduct an internal investigation into what happened last week when two officers allegedly used force to arrest a 34-year-old woman for an apparent cell phone violation, according to Huffington Post.
Michelle Jordan of Sunland was pulled over by two LAPD Foothill Station officers during a traffic stop near Foothill Boulevard and Saluda Street, at Del Taco about 11:15 a.m. on Aug. 12, according to a LAPD news release.
A business surveillance camera captured the incident on video, which was first obtained by NBC4, and shows officers body-slamming Jordan and giving each other what appears to be a congratulatory fist-pump.
Jordan exited her car and allegedly began a confrontation with the officers, according to LAPD. She was taken to the ground and handcuffed. While still handcuffed, Jordan and the officers began a dispute and the officers took her to the ground a second time, authorities said.
She was arrested and booked on suspicion of interfering or resisting arrest. She was later released on bond.
Based on Jordan's statement during arrest and what LAPD's Internal Affairs Group investigators saw in the surveillance video, a personnel complaint was initiated against both officers, officials said.
Both officers, whose names were not immediately released, were assigned to non-field duties pending the investigation, police said. One officer has 22 years of service and the other officer is a probationary officer with 10 months on the job.
"My initial review of the officers' statements and the recorded video cause me to have serious concerns about this Use of Force," said LAPD Chief Charlie Beck in a prepared statement.
"We will investigate this thoroughly and hold our officers accountable for their actions," Beck said.
Authorities urge anyone with information to please call LAPD's Foothill Area Watch Commander at (818)756-8861 or Internal Affairs Group at (213) 485-1486.

Respect earns Respect Period.
First time was sleeping in on a Sunday morning about nine years ago around 10:30AM. My dad was dying and was his birthday. Didn't want to wake and have to remember it. A banging at my door. Was raining for two weeks. They said "It's police." Open up. Opened the door and left the security screen locked. They said someone from my house called 911 and had to come in and search my house. My phone was out of order from rain. I told them to call phone repair to see. They refused and demanded entrance into my house. I went out onto my porch. They grabbed me, yanked my arms up high behind my back, handcuffed me and dragged me screaming in pain to their car refusing to acknowledge they were hurting me.
Reported him and they covered it all up twisting the account of what actually took place. I am disgusted, betrayed and mistrust most of them. Seeing what they did to this lady brings it all back.
We pay these club members' salaries with our sweat and hard earned taxes. It's not a system of the people, by the people and for the people for sure. It's a roll of the dice. We never know who we're gong to get and can be in grave danger. Even the good cops admit it about the bad ones, and about corruption but are afraid to speak out fearing loss of their jobs or retaliation. It's out of control.
