Gardener Allegedly Exposes Himself to Teen

Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Deputies arrested Los Angeles resident Oscar Rodriguez on suspicion of indecent exposure.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies arrested a gardener in La Cañada Flintridge after he allegedly exposed himself to a teen-age girl, authorities said Monday.

Authorities arrested Oscar Rodriguez, 30, of Los Angeles on suspicion of indecent exposure, said Sgt. Ray Harley of the Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station. Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers placed a no-bail hold on Rodriguez due to another matter, Harley said.

On Saturday, a 13-year-old La Cañada girl walking her dog about 6:45 pm encountered a man tending to a garden in the 700 block of Forest Green Drive. The man asked the teen a question, but she just kept walking, Harley said, noting that the man began to make "funny noises'' trying to get the girl to look at him.

When she turned around, Rodriguez had unzipped his pants and was exposing himself to her, Harley said.

The girl ran home and called police. When deputies arrived, Rodriguez was working at the same house. The girl positively identified Rodriguez as the man who exposed himself and deputies arrested him, Harley said.
