Flood Advisory Issued for Area

The advisory includes the communities of La Canada Flintridge, La Crescenta and Sierra Madre.

The National Weather Service has issued an urgent flood advisory for Los Angeles County until 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon, with heavy rain expected to blanket the county for a large portion of the afternoon. The heaviest rains will hit the Santa Monica and San Gabriel Mountain foothills, including the Station Fire burn area, according to the service.

The weather service also warns of water ponding on certain area roads as well as flooding of low lying roads and intersections. Debris flows can also be possible in the Station Fire burn area as well.
