Firefighter Group to Host Charity Gala

An organization dedicated to spreading cancer awareness to fire departments across the country will host its fourth annual "Fight Cancer with Fire'' gala dinner and fundraiser Sunday.

The Firefighter Cancer Support Network (FCSN), established in 2006 by Los Angeles County Firefighter Paramedic Michael Dubron, following his personal fight with the disease, spreads cancer awareness to fire departments across the country and the communities they serve.

Broadcast journalist David Begnaud will emcee the event. Entertainment will include performances by Broadway musician Marshal Carolan and comedian Paula Poundstone.

Proceeds raised from this event will benefit the national non-profit organization. The gala begins at 5 p.m. at Sheraton Universal, 333 Universal Hollywood Dr., Universal City, CA.
