Elderly Driver Damages Portion of Area Business
No injuries were reported in the crash, deputies said.
An elderly driver was uninjured after accidentally hitting the accelerator and crashing her car into a portion of a La Canada Flintridge business.
The accident was reported at 10:50 a.m. in front of Angel's Nest, 468 West Foothill Blvd. The elderly driver's shoe became stuck on the accelerator and she hit the building, according to Sergeant Cynthia Gonzales of the Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station.
Authorities were unable to confirm how much damage was caused as deputies were still investigating the crash, but fire fighters said the car hit one of the planters in front of the business and may have broken some windows, according to scanner reports.
No other injuries were reported.
