Crime Blotter: Young Citizen Turns in Found Purse
The following information was supplied by the Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
Good Neighbor
At approximately 3:25 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, a female resident in the 4500 block of Hillard Avenue reported to deputies what she believed to be a suspicious vehicle parked in the area. According to the report, the woman told deputies that a light blue, four-door car had been parked outside her neighbor’s residence. She reportedly saw two men run across her neighbor’s yard carrying a backpack before getting in the vehicle, which then drove out of view.
The resident of the location contacted deputies to report that after returning home from running errands, she found the rear glass door of her residence smashed. Deputies cleared the location and the victim determined that at that time nothing appeared missing or disturbed.

Bikes Taken
A female resident in the 2200 block of Cross Street reported that sometime between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Thursday, May 27, two boys bikes were stolen from outside her residence. The 20” green and white “Tony Hawk” and a 24” red and white Mongoose bike are valued at $80 each.

Found Coin Purse
On Sunday night, A 13-year old male resident of La Cañada turned in to deputies a coin purse he found laying in the grass of after the fireworks show. The coin purse contained no identification but did hold currency. Deputies alerted a representative from the that the purse is being held at the CV Station.
