Crime Blotter: One Night, Two Cars

Two cars on the same block are targeted on the same night.

Business Burglary

At 9:45 a.m. Saturday, April 24, a cleaning crew arrived at California Energy Design, in the 4500 block of Valley Sun Lane, to discover the front door of the business open. The crew called deputies, who found the business had been ransacked, with office equipment on the floor and several drawers open. Numerous computers and monitors were confirmed missing by the business owner, at an estimated loss of $25,000. Pry marks were found next to the lock on the front door, the only way in and out of the business.

Vandalism To Vehicle

Early on Monday morning, April 25, a male resident in the 2100 block of La Cañada Crest Drive discovered the driver’s side window of his Cadillac had been smashed. The car had been locked and the victim reported nothing missing from the vehicle.

BB pellets caused several dents and smashed rear windows on a vehicle belonging to a resident in the 2100 block of La Cañada Crest Drive. The female victim found her car shot up on Monday, April 25, and had no idea who would have targeted her car.
