Crime Blotter: Car Windows Found Smashed

The following incidents were reported to the Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Vandals Shatter Car Windows

A 57-year-old La Cañada female reported a case of vandalism at 800 Highland Drive on March 23. The vehicle’s passenger windows were broken with an unknown object. The car was parked in the garage when the vandalism occurred.

Burglar Breaks in for Bike

A burglary was committed at the 5500 Burning Tree Drive home of a 60-year-old La Cañada female. A blue bike worth $300 was reported missing on March 23. It was taken from the garage, which was open at the time.

Wallet Taken from Cart

A wallet was taken from a 58-year-old La Crescenta female on 900 Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge on March 23. The wallet was taken when she was shopping and it was last seen placed on top of the child-seat portion of a shopping cart. The wallet contained credit cards, cash, among other items.

Purse Theft in Parking Lot

A 65-year-old Sierra Madre female reported a stolen purse on March 22 at 4600 Oak Grove Drive. It contained $500 and various credit cards. The purse was in an unlocked car in the parking lot of a shopping center.
