Crime Blotter: Auto Burglaries Continue

The following reports were taken from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Crescenta Valley Station. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 5, a residence on the 800 block of Waldorf Road was burglarized. The victim left her residence to go to the post office and when she returned the bedroom and office had been ransacked. Since the windows and doors were locked, the victim reported that the suspect entered through an old side door. 

Reported stolen was $1,030 in currency and $2,200 in jewelry. Items listed as stolen include a woman's Seiko watch, a men's Seiko watch, a men's Omega watch, three Swarovski crystal necklaces and three gold necklaces. A $1,000 coin collection and $30 in cash were also reported stolen.

Between 12:20 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 6, a residence on the 600 block of Starlight Crest Drive was burglarized. The suspect allegedly entered the residence by shattering a rear sliding glass door and ransacked the bedroom. $2,600 in jewelry and electronics were reported stolen: a diamond gold necklace and an iPad. 

At 11:40 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10, a victim on 4400 block of Cornishon Avenue returned to her parked vehicle and found a suspect sitting in the passenger seat of the car. The victim confronted the suspect and the suspect exited the vehicle and entered an awaiting Chevy Truck with a "Felix Chevrolet" license plate holder. The suspect is described as a 28 to 32-year-old black male, approximately 160 to 180 pounds.

Between 1 a.m. and 8 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11, a victim reported that an '03 Saab was burglarized overnight. The victim saw that the passenger side window had been smashed open and several items were missing from inside the vehicle. Reported stolen was $1000 in accessories and $960 in currency. Stolen items include a leather Rebecca Minkoff briefcase, a Kenneth Cole briefcase, a USA passport, a checkbook and two silver cufflinks. 

At 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11, a victim on the 1900 block of Tondolea Lane reported that an '06 Ford Taurus had been burglarized overnight. The victim noted that the vehicle was left unlocked and an estimated $1,200 in electronics was missing. Stolen items include a laptop computer and a cellphone charger.

At 8 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11, a victim on the 4300 block of Hayman Avenue reported that his car had been burglarized overnight. The victim saw that the rear hatch of his '08 Toyota Highlander was open and $2,800 in golf gear was missing. Reported stolen was a golf bag and 14 custom made golf clubs.

Between 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11, a victim reported that her '97 Toyota Camry was burglarized. The victim noted that her vehicle was locked and was unsure as to how the suspect entered her vehicle and stole an estimated $310 in assorted items. Stolen items include RayBan sunglasses, black sunglasses, a suitcase, nurse uniforms and miscellaneous papers.
