Crescenta Valley Station Honored with International Award
The station is honored, thanks to community support and appreciation for outstanding service and practices.
Los Angeles Sheriff's Department's , serving La Cañada Flintridge and La Crescenta, has received an international award from the Altus Global Alliance, a group of six non-governmental and academic centers located throughout the world.
The honor recognizes achievement by police agencies all over the world based on assessments provided by residents touring their local station. Criteria for the honor include the station’s physical condition, detention conditions, community involvement, transparency and accountability.
The CV Station placed third overall in the international competition judging best law enforcement practices, following only stations in Palmdale and South Los Angeles. It was Crescenta Valley’s first time participating in the Altus program that took place in 21 countries. In the United States, 27 stations took part.
