Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Deputy Revives 1-Year-Old Baby

The deputy used CPR after arriving at a home on Oakwood Avenue.

A deputy from the Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station saved the life of a 1-year-old baby boy Friday evening, according to authorities.

Lt. Brian Fitch of the Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station told Patch the call came in at 5:11 p.m. Friday evening. Authorities arrived at the baby's Oakwood Avenue home under one minute and located the baby on the floor of the living room.

Deputy Michael Winter then admistered CPR to the baby, eventually also turning the baby over and striking him on the back. The baby coughed and later cried. He was then taken to a hospital and expected to recover, a release from the CV Sheriff's Station stated.
