Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Captain to Leave

David Silversparre is set to transfer from the Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station for another position in the department.

David Silversparre, captain for the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station for the past five years, will move to a communications position within the department, The La Canada Valley Sun reports.

"I am honored to have been the captain of Crescenta Valley Station for the last five years, living my dream,'' Silversparre wrote Patch in an email. "I will miss the community, staff, and so many volunteers that assist in our community partnership to ensure safety in the Crescenta Valley jurisdiction."

A 30-year veteran of the Los Angeles County Sherrif’s Department, Silversparre, a La Crescenta resident, was named captain in April 2008.  Silversparre will take on the role of captain of the radio room at the LASD Communications and Fleet Management Bureau in Los Angeles.
