Free Burgers This Saturday at Habit Burger

I was so excited to see The Habit Burger sign on the corner of the LCF Town Center at Foothill Boulevard and Angeles Crest Highway. The first time I bit into a Habit Burger, I said "Wow." It's a different flavor than other fast food burger places. It wasn't greasy. The lettuce and tomatoes are fresh and crisp tasting. The grilled onions enhanced the flavors.

This morning, I walked by the open door of the restaurant to learn when it will be opening. As painters were finishing up a wall near the entrance, a man in charge approached me. When I asked him about the restaurant's debut, he said, "Come this Saturday (Dec. 1) between 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. or 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. We will be serving free burgers, French fries and a drink."

The official opening day is Wednesday, Dec. 5, however, the Habit Burger will be cooking up burgers throughout the weekend to train the staff and entice the community to enjoy the Habit experience. 

The first Habit Burger opened in 1973 serving charbroiler burgers in Santa Barbara. The owner Brent Reichard added a fresh grilled albacore sandwich made from line-caught tuna. Later, he introduced a Veggie Burger on a toasted wheat bun.

Based on the menu on their website, The Habit offers 5 different types of 100% fresh ground beef Charburgers. They also cook up two types of grilled chicken breast sandwiches, a hand cut tri-tip steak sandwich and 6 different salads.

Kids under 10 can eat a burger with fries, apple slices, applesauce and a drink for under $4. Other options include chicken tenders or a grilled cheese sandwich.

Shakes and malts are made with real ice cream. For dessert, they make ice cream sundaes and sell vanilla ice cream cones.

The Habit Burger may become an enjoyable habit for you and your family.
