Patch Blog: Fundraising Bash at Memorial Park

Save the date for June 2, 2012 for the annual TACH BASH at Memorial Park. Live music by local bands, great food, games and a terrific silent auction are some of the highlights of the day.

There is a stellar philanthropic club at that devotes time, support and funds to nearby Los Angeles Children's Hospital. TACH is the acronym for Teens for the Advancement of Children's Hospital. It was founded in 2001, by a group of high school students, under the direction of the Flintridge Guild of Children's Hospital.

TACH fundraising proceeds benefit teens that are served by the Adolescent Medicine division. TACH is teens helping teens in the Adolescent wing of the hospital.

On June 2, TACH is having their annual fundraising BASH at Memorial Park. It starts at 2 p.m. and runs until dusk or 7 p.m. Bring your picnic blanket and chairs to enjoy a day at the park.

Admission is FREE to listen to local bands performing throughout the event. Buffalo Wild Wings will park its food truck for lunch, snack and dinner items.

Families will enjoy fun games, face painting and baked goods for sale. There will be a ceramic sale and a Silent Auction from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Some of the items up for bid include Clipper tickets for four people, Dodger tickets, four seats to a One Direction concert and a Georgee's Pizza Party. Gift cards to Dish, Los Gringos Locos, Best Buy, and much more will be up for bidding.

TACH members ask the community to bring new teen clothing of all sizes to the event. The new apparel will be donated to Adolescent Medicine's Gang Reduction and Youth Development programs (GRYD). The program's goal is to eliminate gang participation, crime and violence in Los Angeles. GRYD achieves this through education, prevention and guidance. All proceeds will benefit Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

Come support a great cause and have fun on June 2.
