Blog: Miss LCF Court 2013 Application Deadline is Oct. 22

The search is on for all interested girls in their junior year of high school, to apply for the 2013 Miss La Canada. The La Canada Chamber of Commerce and La Canada Junior Women’s Club are seeking out five dynamic young ladies to represent our community.

Applicants need to be a La Canada Flintridge resident. Judging is based on personality, communication skills, poise, community service, academic and special achievements and a personal interview.

Participants are encouraged to come to the La Canada Junior Women's Club on Oct. 17 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the LC Country Club. Come meet the current Miss LCF Court and members of the Chamber and LCJWC.

Interviews are on Nov. 8. Winners will be announced at the Festival In Lights event at Memorial Park on Dec. 7. 

Miss La Canada Flintridge will receive a $500 scholarship and each court member will receive a $250 scholarship from the La Canada Flintridge Chamber of Commerce and Community Association.

Applications are available at www.lacanadaflintridge.com. Click on the Chamber tab and then the Miss LCF. There is a $50 application fee. Applications must be turned into the La Canada Chamber of Commerce office, 4529 Angeles Crest Hwy, Suite 102, before Monday, Oct. 22 at 5 p.m.
