Blog: 27 Miss LCF Applicants This Year

Representatives from the La Canada Junior Women's Club and the La Canada Chamber of Commerce are impressed with the caliber of talented young ladies vying for the 2012-2013 Miss LCF Court.

Even though it was raining, 27 young ladies gathered at La Canada Presbyterian Church, for their first round of personal interviews. Each girl is vying to be on the 2012-2013 Miss La Canada Flintridge Court.

The La Canada Junior Women's Club (LCJWC) and the La Canada Chamber of Commerce were pleased with the turnout. Mindy DiPaolo and Jane Owens from LCJWC coordinate the Miss LCF program. "The five judges agreed that this year's contestants were extremely talented and personable," shared DiPaolo. "It was a long and hard process to narrow down the callbacks."

Callbacks will be mailed to the applicants today in a pink envelope. With Veteran's Day coming up on Monday, the girls may not receive their notification until Tuesday.

The 2012-2013 Miss LCF Court will be announced on at the Festival in Lights at Memorial Park on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012. A formal coronation ceremony will be held in January at the LCF Chamber of Commerce Awards and Installation dinner.

As ambassadors of La Canada Flintridge, the Court will make public appearances throughout our community with ribbon-cuttings, parades, local fundraisers and La Canada Chamber mixers.
