FSHA Graduates Gather for Alumnae Luncheon

Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy graduates gathered at the school on Saturday, April 12, 2014, for the annual reunion luncheon. With yearbooks and class pictures on display, the alumnae easily recounted the laughter and learnings of their high school experience.  The graduates of 1944, 1949, 1954, 1959 and 1964 were especially honored. The 50th year class (1964) received golden diplomas and the other classes received pins with the school’s escutcheon; all received individual red roses, reminiscent of the roses they had carried at graduation.

Highlights of the luncheon included a slide show featuring the honored classes and a delicious lunch served in the FSHA’s dining room. All of the serving plates and trays were from the days when the school was the Flintridge Hotel.

The women came from as far away as Alabama, Arizona, Mexico and Costa Rica and as near as Pasadena and La Canada. No matter how far they had traveled, they were eager to share memories of the past, to testify to the blessing that FSHA was and is for them, and to update one another on what has happened to them since their high school days.
