Blue Milagro presents the 18th Annual Dia De Los Muertos event on Friday, October 26 from 5:00pm – 9:00pm at the Pasadena Playhouse Courtyard and Zona Rosa Caffe located at 15 and 39 South El Molino Avenue, Pasadena, CA. The event is free and open to the public and is expected to draw more than 800 members of the community.
Blue Milagro will transform the Zona Rosa Caffe and the Pasadena Playhouse Courtyard into a Mexican Zocolo where artists and the community can taste sugar skulls, smell fresh marigolds, make thematic art with Little June Bugs, enjoy children’s calaca face painting, drink horchata from El Portal, eat Norma's handmade tacos, see traditional altar builders in action and gaze upon large papier mache skulls and flowers.
Enjoy master papel picado maker, Margarita Sosa at work and listen to the sound of the highly acclaimed musicians from Quetzal. Bob Baker Marionettes will also be performing with their famous skeletons and Pasadena Playhouse actors will delight crowds of all ages with spontaneous performances. It is a visually compelling and unique celebration of artistic expression, storytelling and cultural diversity in Pasadena.
