An Evening with Glennon Doyle Melton

Thousands of mothers
have read her blog and her book. Now the Southern California Children’s Museum
is thrilled to bring author Glennon Doyle Melton to Pasadena for her first
Southern California talk and book signing on Monday, October 7, 2013 at
Pasadena’s All Saints Church (located at 132 North Euclid Avenue).

Melton is the author of
New York Times bestselling memoir, CARRY ON, WARRIOR, as well as the
founder of Momastery.com, an online community where more than 100,000 readers
meet daily to read her honest and hilarious essays about marriage, motherhood,
faith, addiction, recovery and connection. She also created the non-profit
organization MonkeeSeeMonkeeDo.org, which connects families in need with
critical resources.

A mother of three, Melton
will touch on topics inspired by her book, her blog and audience questions,
including relationships, work, modern motherhood, faith, addiction, recovery
and connection. Melton
is also a contributor to Huffington Post and other publications. She and her philanthropic
work have been featured by TV and print media, including The Today Show, The
Talk and Ladies’ Home Journal.

Founded by Pasadena-area
moms, SCCM is currently operating as a “museum without walls” bringing unique,
high-quality events to the San Gabriel Valley. The museum, to be located in the
San Gabriel Valley, will have an emphasis on the iconic local arts and culture of
Southern California region and will fill an important void in early childhood
educational experiences.

The museum will be
designed primarily for children under the age of eight. Exhibits and activities
will be play-based and focused on developing a child's gross and fine motor skills,
while incorporating dramatic play elements. Our goal is to bring an environment
focused on early childhood education to our newest generation while offering
them a place to create lifelong memories.

Southern California
Children's Museum (SCCM) is an official non-profit with tax exempt status as a
501(c)3 by the IRS.

The mission of Southern California Children’s Museum is to
cultivate a child's wonder, stimulate curiosity, and motivate
learning through interactive exhibits, creative experiences and
dramatic play, all while promoting the diverse cultures of Southern
California.
