Welcome to La Cañada Flintridge Patch, covering all La Canada news, all the time!

Perhaps you've already seen one of our 400-plus websites covering communities across 18 states and the District of Columbia. A subsidiary of AOL, Patch plans to launch another 100 sites by the end of the year.

So what is Patch? Patch is community journalism. My reporters and I will cover everything happening in La Cañada from festivals and sporting events to school board and city council meetings. At Patch, we strive for quality content, produced by journalists and we won't accept anything less. But, we are human, so if you see an error, please let me know!

I'm Donna Evans, local editor for La Canada Flintridge Patch. Born in Washington,  D.C., I moved to Los Angeles in 1996. I earned a bachelor's of science in journalism from West Virginia University and accrued more than 10 years of newspaper reporting experience. After leaving the profession for a bit, I earned a Master of  Professional Writing from USC and a multiple subject teaching credential from National University.

I've  covered everything from breaking news and court trials to board meetings and spelling bees. And I'm thrilled to be back reporting news for you!
