Grab your flag and fetch the sunscreen, it's time for the 40th Annual Fiesta Days.
The yearly event, hosted by the La Cañada Flintridge Chamber of Commerce and Community Association, celebrates the city's heritage as well as it businesses. The event, which also honors the lives lost in service to this country, starts Friday with the Community Center of La Cañada Flintridge's Casino Night, a new way to start off the weekend-long festivities, said executive director Deb Jordan.
Saturday morning brings a community breakfast with French toast and strawberries, followed by a vintage car show, and a screening of "How I Trained Your Dragon'' at Memorial Park. Saturday also features a sneak peek at the 2014 LCF Tournament of Roses Association float, Dog Gone!
Sunday brings a fireworks show at Memorial Park.
On Monday, the fun starts with the Crescenta Cañada YMCA Fiesta Run, followed by the Foothill Boulevard parade with this year's theme, "Neighbor to Neighbor.'' During the afternoon there will be music, games and food in Memorial Park and finally, the summer concert series is kicked off with Captain Cardiac. The concert runs from 4-6 p.m.
