Crime Blotter: Three Crimes at One Time

Three individuals report items stolen at the same time, in the same place.

The following reports were taken from the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, Crescenta Valley Station.

Residential Burglary

On the afternoon of Tuesday, April 26, a caretaker of a residence in the 800 block of Inverness Drive found a window beside the home’s front door had been smashed. Deputies reported that cabinets and drawers had appeared to have been gone through, but due to the owner not being at the residence, could not be sure if anything had been stolen.

Vehicle Burglary

A woman went to the on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 27, to report that her car had been broken into while parked and locked at the , 1200 Foothill Blvd. Between 2:30 and 3 p.m. that day.

The victim told deputies that the front passenger window of her Dodge Durango had been smashed but not broken, but her purse, which had been left sitting on the passenger seat, had been stolen. The purse contained a wallet with ID and  credit cards, $60 US currency, and a digital camera.

According to the report, the victim did not bring her car to the station.

Vehicle Vandalism

During the early morning hours on Thursday, April 28, a woman awoke to hear her car alarm going off but did not see anything suspicious when she looked out at the car, parked on the street in front of her residence in the 4800 block of Carmel Road. But at approximately 6 a.m., the victim found that while the car was locked and nothing appeared missing, the driver’s side window had been smashed.

Triple Petty Theft

Three separate incidents of petty theft were reported between 4 and 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, at the Lanterman Auditorium, 4491 Cornishon Ave. Three victims each reported to deputies that items had been stolen from their individual gym bags, all left unattended in the auditorium’s locker room. Among the items stolen were an iPad, an iPhone, and a wallet containing debit cards and $60 cash.
