Here is an exercise that's a great body toner just like swimming in a pool. You don’t need exercise equipment and you don’t need to leave your house. The best thing about this exercise is that it works all the muscles on the back of your body and some of the muscles in the front as well.
Lie facedown on a mat or rug with arm outstretched. Make sure your head is in line with your spine. Raise your right arm and your left leg at the same time and then repeat your other arm and leg. Try not to lower your arms or leg completely until the end of the set. Another tip, don’t hold your breath.
If you are a beginner you may want to put a rolled up towel under your chest. This helps keep the torso up and makes it much easier. If you are advanced you can hold each repetition for a second or two before switching sides. This really works the lower back.
When you are learning this exercise start with 5 times each side and work from there. The main thing is to be consistent. Shoot for two times a week and work up to three times as you advance.
