PASADENA, CALIF. (December 20, 2013) – From Thursday, December 26th to Monday, December 30th Kidspace becomes a winter wonderland as tons of snow will be trucked into the Museum to serve as the centerpiece to the Museum’s 6th annual Snow Days. Snow Days at Kidspace takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the weekdays and 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the weekend. Kidspace Members will be able to gain access to Snow Days one hour before the general public during special “Member Previews” on Thursday, December 26th and Saturday, December 28th.

Each day guests will find snow play for all ages, including a special toddler zone for children ages four and younger, in the central courtyard, dry ice experiments in the Physics Forest event space, seedling adoption in the Kidspace Gardens, spinning tree crafts, snow themed story time, and more. Guests will also have the opportunity to construct an igloo village in the brand new Imagination Workshop, and learn how humans live in freezing climates.

In addition to the interactive, hands-on activities that will be happening during Snow Days, there will also be daily live performances in the Stone Hollow Amphitheater from such groups as Radio Disney, the Sierra Madre Playhouse, the L.A. Guild of Puppetry, and others. Kidspace Educators will also be presenting a special interactive demonstration about the formation of snow to add to the fun.

“This will be our 6th year bringing Snow Days to the community and every year it has gotten bigger and better,” said Julianne Sando, Kidspace Events Manager, “It is a very special week here at Kidspace and seeing children discover, encounter, and play in snow, some for the very first time, never gets old.”
