While moms are special every day, Mother's Day is the one day each year when we can honor moms for their hardwork, love, and dedication to being, well, moms.
Whether your family is big or small, brunch is a great time to get together and show Mom just how much she means to you. Let someone else do the cooking, cleaning, and serving this Mother's Day by heading out to a wonderful brunch.
Descanso Gardens invites you to “treat your nearest and dearest” with brunch service at the gardens’ Rose Pavilion. Seatings are at noon and 1:30 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. on Sunday. Reservations are required and brunches are expected to sell out. Catered by Patina, the event is $50 per person, $17 for kids aged 4 to 12, and tots 3 and under are free.

La Cañada Presbyterian Church is hosting a Mothers’ Day brunch with seatings at 9 and 10:30 a.m., and 12:15 p.m. The buffet-style celebration is $10 per person or $30 per family. Enjoy fabulous views with fabulous food at the La Cañada Country Club. Brunch is offered on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Call 818-790-0611 for reservations. Adults can dine for $44 per person while kids up to age 12 are $20. The club is located at 5500 Godbey Drive, La Cañada.

At Elements Kitchen, 107 S. Fair Oaks Ave., Pasadena, Chef Onil is promising a surprise for Mother’s Day brunch. Casual yet classy, the restaurant has a lovely outdoor seating area and focuses on local and organic ingredients. Call for a reservation, 626-440-0100. Brunch on Sunday is from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m., so even moms who sleep in can be treated to a special meal.
Creme De La Crepe in Old Town Pasadena is opens at 8 am for those early-rising moms. With a laid-back, French bistro vibe sans le attitude, hit up the crepery for a breakfast the offers buckwheat crepe creations and sweet crepe temptations.
