A strip mall on the 500 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge is set to receive an upgrade with a design that garnered positive reviews from the city's Design Commission, according to the La Cañada Sun.
The strip mall is home to a number of shops, including Round Table Pizza and La Cañada Pool and Patio. The redesign would involve giving the building four distinct sections of different earth tones, making the areas appear as separate buildings, said architect Ken McKently, according to the Sun.
The redesign was called a "big improvement for Foothill Boulevard" by Commissioner Keith Tobias, according to the story.
