Rose Court Visits LC Kiwanis

The Kiwanis Club of La Cañada honored the teen royalty recently at its annual luncheon for the Rose Court.

Each year the Kiwanis Club of La Cañada honors the young ladies of the Tournament of Roses Rose Court with a special luncheon.

The young members of local high schools present themselves to the members, and tell about their year-long experiences as princesses and a queen. They talk about their plans and dreams for the future.

Pictured here, left to right: Princess Sonia Shenoi, San Marino High School; Princess Madison Teodo, La Canada High School; Rose Queen Vanessa Manjarrez, Mayfiled Senior High School; Princess Victoria McGregor, Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy; Princess Tracy Cresta, La Salle High School; and Kate Benuska of Manantha High School. Missing is Princess Nicole Nelam of Pasadena High School, who could not make the luncheon as she had a exam.

Does the court do any kind of charity work? Since they have a high profile in the community for the year (or several months at least), it would be nice if they would target a specific charity that different organizations and citizens could contribute to or that awareness could be raised about. Do they have a collective Facebook page or some other type of social media that they could utilize to promote any kind of charity work?
